The Cleveland Mandos, after making the playoffs after an undeniably strong season last season, look to be coming out strong again this season. The Mandos have improved their lot every season from the very beginning of the SFL, rising from the worst team in the league to the playoffs in three short seasons.
This reporter credits canny trades and drafts by the good 'ol boy of the league, Coach Luke Brand, for the team's meteoric rise to the playoffs, and rumor has it that the Mandos were to play the Cadavers in the mysteriously canceled inaugural Hall of Fame game.
The Mandos have been playing an aggressive road game, having yet to play their home opener. The season began with the Green Machine slapping the New York Pimps 34-27, following with a 34-16 plucking of the Giant Eagles in Louisville, Ohio, a mere hour from the Mandos home turf in Cleveland.
The Mandos next castrated the Bulldogz, handing yet another team a humiliating home field loss, defeating the Bulldogz a 47-26 loss.
The only surprise during the first four weeks of the regular season, was the Mandos' defeat by the Waco Bud Light 40s, a team the Mandos defeated at will last season, leading some to believe the Cleveland Green Machine had grown cocky after three straight wins. Some fans seemed disappointed that Cleveland had failed to sweep Ohio, a state that now boasts a total of three SFL franchises.
"Actually, I don't mind losin' one this early in th' season at all. Ah don't want my boys ta get cocky an' start playin' stupid." said Coach Luke Brand.
Lem Rorex could not be reached for comment, but was last seen boarding a plane for Orlando, Florida, traveling with an unidentified woman.
