Death Valley: Things got rolling for season five as Las Vegas visited division rival and reigning SFL champions, The Cadavers. Las Vegas won the kick and lead an extremely slow drive for the opening score. As the first quarter lead way to the second Death Valley unleashed their fierce ground attack, scoring 14 unanswered points. Both touchdowns coming from the duo of all time leading rusher Dennis Colby and Season 4 rookie of the Year Daryl Bartlett. Death Valley's defense held up allowing another pointless drive by the Hookers. Cadavers marched the ball down field before being forced to kick a field goal. Another tough stand by DV's "D" gave Bartlett the opportunity to break a 26 yard TD putting his team up by 10 later in the fourth. Hookers QB K. Puckett launched a 45 yard TD pass that brought the win within reach of Vegas. Death Valley crushed those hopes when MVP T. Cason with the help of Cadaver Defense scored 2 TD passes of 17 and 16 yards to tight end Nick Hughes and future HOF member Jimbo Ebony. Final Score: Las Vegas 14 Death Valley 38
