I just played my first game (live coached) on Tuesday night. There were some interesting developments, to say the least. My initial reaction to some of the results of the plays is that there is more random occurences happening during the course of a game than would be expected in a regular season game (I still don't understand how an option pass to HB1 can end up as a 22yd reception to the QB...I'm thinking very short yardage flea flicker?). The only other thing that seems a bit wierd to me is how some of these lineman can have a speed rating of 5. That's not usually a position that carries a lot of speed.
So far the experience has been fun, and has helped with the withdrawals associated with the NFL offseason.

I'm not so sure about the option pass being a flea flicker. I'm not the most educated on every play so correct me if I'm wrong. A flea flicker is a hand-off to the back, who tosses it back to the QB who then throws deep. The Opt pass is becoming a Cadaver specialty, I've had Cobly get sacked, I've had Colby decided to rush it instead and I've had Colby throw it to Haskett (QB) as well as several attempts to hit Jimbo Ebony (WR.) For my team when The QB catches the pass I just chalk it up to the fact that he's as good at running as my HB and wide open because everybody thinks Colbys rushing. But yeah there's alot of random occurances, I just think about it like real life. You never know what the hell is going to happen.

yeah, alot of stats for these players are completely outrageous in certain areas. i wish they would be realistically adjusted to make for better, more even playing grounds. but im sure its time consuming. i would chalk it up on the to do list of an offseason though.

Depending on the scope (IE number of players) with "outrageous stats" I could do something rather quickly. If it's not really as major as it seems I say leave it be. Everything has to be looked at in perspective or real life, some guys who play a position that don't require speed can still be fast. Pointing out some more of these insane stats flubs would be appreciated.
