With the draft officially underway here's our "expert" opinion of what to expect this coming season.
1. Death Valley Cadavers: Despite an undecided retirement for all time leading rusher Dennis Colby DV is still in full control. Half back Bartlett has a full season under his belt (1600yds) and the QB Cason to (WR) Ebony still in place things will remain the same.
2. Louisville Giant Eagles: They are only one of four teams to ever make the Chilibowl, we doubt they're slowing down anytime soon. No major losses in the preseason and a taste of the championship leave them ready for another run.
3. Ferndale Footbrawlers: Coming off a record setting season back Deward Grace seems ready to lead his team to the promised land. The brawlers have very little kinks in their armor and those will surely be addressed in the draft.
4. Cleveland Mandalorions: With one of the greatest quarterbacks in the SFL in Lem Rorex, it's only a matter of time before this team claws it's way to the championship. With no real changes going into the season this could very well be their year.
5. Las Vegas Hookers: Hookers QB Kendall Puckett is the most under estimated QB's in the SFL. With this said every team underestimates them, and suffers because of it. The same will be true for this season.
Wacco Budlight 40's: Following their Chilibowl 1 appearance this franchise has been on the slide. Struggling more and more every year. The only bright spot for this team is duel threat wide out in Del Smith and Byron Levet.
Rochester Ghostbusters: Last season saw HOF QB Gozer battle through injuries from Chilibowl 3's loss. The injuries forced him to retire and prompt 33 year old star receiver Stay Puft to hang it up as well. This isn't gonna be pretty for Rochester fans.
Bettendorf Bulldogs: New Owners, New to be named coach, first round stud quarterback drafted. Things couldn't get much worse then last seasons 2-13.
